The rich and robust scent and the fresh notes of sencha green tea pull you into a memory of May jasmine blossoms.
Jasmine tea is one of the most pleasant tasting green teas available on the market. On the nose the dry tea has a floral bouquet, which literally causes your senses to come alive with pleasant thoughts. The flavor is enhanced the addition of jasmine blossoms which give the tea a visual appeal few other teas are capable of copying.
There are many different grades of jasmine tea. This particular grade is the first grade below the exotic jasmines. It has all the flavor, aroma and good green tea qualities but not the exorbitant price. In China they declare this jasmine tea as ‘Jasmine #1.

PREPARATION:
HOT TEA:
1. Put 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of Jasmine with flowers for each 7-9 oz/200-260ml of water in the teapot.
2. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep 3-7 min.
3. Add Milk & Sugar to taste.
ICED TEA: (1L/QT):
1. 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of Jasmine with flowers into a teapot.
2. Pour 315ml boiling water on tea. Steep 5 min.
3. Quarter fill serving pitcher with cold water Pour into pitcher straining the tea.
4. Add ice, top-up with cold water, garnish & sweeten to taste.

The production of jasmine tea is quite interesting. It is important, to begin with high-quality green tea – tea that has been produced between the middle of March and the middle of May Equally important for jasmine tea are fine jasmine blossoms – flowers that bloom between the 1st of May and the end of May (these have the most intense aroma). Traditionally layers of jasmine blossoms were placed between fine green tea.
In time the scent of the jasmine permeated the tea. Today, hot air is passed through the jasmine blossoms and then filtered through the tea so that the blossoms can be used more than once. The exhausted blossoms are then used to decorate the tea. Produced in both China and Taiwan. jasmine with flowers tea yields a cup with all the concentrated heady bouquet of a garden in bloom.

Taken both hot and cold, this jasmine tea is truly delicious. I don’t like the taste of tea that is particularly strong and bitter therefore, for a delicate flavor, just keep it in infusion for 2 to 5 minutes.

I’ve been having problems finding loose tea that hasn’t been ground into powder that leaves dregs in the cup. This tea is cut perfectly, so there are no dregs in the cup. The tea is also delicious.

This tea is very nicely fragranced with Jasmin. Do not keep the tea leaves in hot water for more than 4-5 minutes. Otherwise it gets slightly bitter in taste.
